Erin Yoshimura

As a 4th generation Japanese American woman growing up in the margins of the dominant culture, Erin understands how crucial a sense of belonging is. Her early experiences have taught her the importance of equity and community and she has become a staunch advocate of both throughout her career. These values fuel her drive to empower others through her role as Desa Global Leadership Facilitator, helping women and underrepresented minorities view their diversity as a superpower in the corporate world.

Erin worked in tech for over 15 years at Quark and Lockheed Martin as an IT Project Manager, QA Supervisor and IT Change Manager. As a diverse female working in the male dominated world of tech, she understands the challenges Desa Global Leadership clients face and is uniquely positioned to empathize with their experiences. She knows how to speak the language of the corporate world and is passionate about supporting others in upleveling their leadership skills and showcasing their value in such environments.

Erin holds certificates in professional coaching, emotional intelligence, Foundations of NeuroLeadership and Diversity, Inclusion and Conflict Resolution. These certifications have given her the tools to help advance the corporate clients like Raytheon Technologies, IBM, Comcast – NBC Universal, Toyota and the Environmental Protection Agency. At her core, Erin is an EQ and neuroscience geek and believes that if leaders learn the basic underpinnings of the brain, it gives them an edge over others.
