$67B North American Organization with an enterprise workforce across multiple functions and levels and broad participation spanning women, people leaders, and peers
To mark International Women’s Day, this North American organization partnered with Desa Global Leadership (DGL) to deliver a company-wide experience designed to move beyond awareness. The goal was to create an engaging, participatory session that strengthened trust, visibility, and shared responsibility for progress — across roles, functions, and identities.
While interest in International Women’s Day was high, organizational leaders wanted to avoid a surface-level or symbolic conversation. They were looking for an experience that:
● Engaged both women and peers in meaningful, inclusive dialogue
● Addressed bias and inclusion without triggering defensiveness
● Reframe responsibility as shared — not owed by one group
● Translated awareness into practical, everyday behaviors
This session needed to feel human, credible, and actionable, not performative.
Desa Global Leadership designed and delivered a custom International Women’s Day keynote that emphasized trust, sponsorship, and visibility as everyday leadership behaviors. The experience blended:
● Research and data on bias, representation, and workplace dynamics
● Practical frameworks for building trust and sponsorship in daily interactions
● Interactive moments that encouraged reflection, participation, and dialogue
The session was intentionally designed to create momentum, equipping participants to act differently long after the day itself.
Following the session:
Across International Women’s Day keynotes delivered by Desa Global Leadership:
● 90%+ of participants rated the session as highly relevant to their day-to-day work
● Strong live participation, with consistently high engagement during interactive moments
● Clear post-session intent, with participants identifying at least one behavior they planned to change
